Mittenwalder Klettersteig attempt und Zugspitze

We wanted to do the Mittenwalder Klettersteig (Via ferrata) but couldn't do it because of too much snow. I had never been on the Zugspitze, so we drove over to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and took the Eibseebahn up to Germany's highest mountain to join the tourists up there. The short scramble to the summit cross was pretty snowy and exposed which kept the tourists away and we had the summit for ourselves. Of course, taking the gondola up is cheating...

Update: A few weeks later we had more success on the Mittenwalder Klettersteig.
